Over my long career as a mechanical engineer and engineering manager I have worked in the United States and abroad for leading healthcare companies developing innovative, life-saving medical devices. Since 1995 I have consulted in the Twin Cities as Vertex Technology LLC.
I am an inventor or co-inventor on over 50 issued or pending US patents. Many have become successful products in the medical and commercial marketplaces.
My latest book, The Elements of Mechanical Design, was published in 2008. It is a helpful guide for design engineers. Another, The Unwritten Laws of Business, a revision of a 1944 engineering classic, has been well-received by business readers.
